Lukus Kindlesparker is Chief Operating Officer of Turnberry. He oversees the operational teams that manage the diverse properties within the Turnberry portfolio. As a member of the executive team, he also plays an integral role in the development of the company’s forward-looking strategy. Kindlesparker joined Turnberry in 2017 as the General Manager of the JW Marriott Nashville. In 2019, he was promoted to Vice President, Full-Service Hotels for Turnberry and oversaw brand development, F&B selection and oversight, operations, and capital planning for Turnberry’s full-service portfolio.
Kindlesparker began his career nearly twenty years ago at the Hyatt Hotels Corporation, working at properties throughout California and at the Four Seasons Hotel and Resort in Hawaii. Kindlesparker joined Starwood Hotels and Resorts in May 2007 and worked in various operational roles before joining Marriott’s Autograph Collection hotel in Atlanta as General Manager. In 2015, Kindlesparker rejoined the Starwood brand as the General Manager of the W Atlanta Midtown before moving to Nashville to serve as the General Manager for The Westin in 2016.
In 2019, Kindlesparker was recognized as “General Manager of the Year” by both the Greater Nashville Hospitality Association and the Tennessee Department of Hospitality and Tourism. Marriott International also honored Kindlesparker and the JW Marriott Nashville property with “Hotel Opening of the Year, Franchise Property” in 2019. Kindlesparker serves on the Advisory Board of Middle State Tennessee University and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Greater Nashville Hospitality Association. Kindlesparker is a graduate of Purdue University.
