Andy Lugo is the Executive Vice President of Development and Construction for Turnberry. Lugo joined Turnberry in 2021. In this role, Lugo is responsible for guiding Turnberry’s team of development and construction professionals in the delivery of a variety of real estate development projects throughout a broad spectrum of asset classes that include retail, hotel, multi-family, condominium, and office. Lugo’s direct responsibilities include all development budgeting, pre-development planning and project planning, and oversight. Lugo is also responsible for facilities management and renovation projects throughout Turnberry’s portfolio of assets.
Prior to Turnberry, Lugo worked for Simon Property Group, a real estate investment trust engaged in the ownership of premier shopping, dining, entertainment and mixed-use destinations and an S&P 100 company (Simon Property Group, NYSE: SPG). Lugo was with Simon for more than three decades. He began as a Project Manager and then served as Vice President of Project Management. During his tenure, Lugo managed the transition of the design and construction department from a “family owned” real estate development business to an S&P 100 public REIT. The last 14 years, Lugo served as the Executive Vice President of Simon Construction Group. Lugo managed a department of 65 people and directed all design and construction phases related to retail real estate development processes.
Lugo earned his bachelor’s degree in environmental design from Texas A&M University and subsequently became a registered architect in the state of Texas.
