Jackie Soffer is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Turnberry, a dynamic real estate company that develops, owns and programs large-scale hospitality, retail, residential and commercial properties. Turnberry’s portfolio includes Aventura Mall, which has more than 30 million visitors annually; Destin Commons, a 500K+ square-foot open-air lifestyle center in Northwest Florida; an 800-key hotel connected to the Miami Beach Convention Center, currently being developed in partnership with the Terra Group; and the 533-room JW Marriott Nashville. Other principal assets include Town Center Aventura, the Residence Inn by Marriott Aventura Mall and the Courtyard by Marriott Aventura. Soffer is also collaborating with LeFrak to develop Solé Mia in North Miami, a 184-acre project with 12 residential towers, 500,000 square feet of retail and commercial space, all anchored around Laguna Solé, South Florida’s first 7-acre swimmable Crystal Lagoon. She is a member of the Dean’s Leadership Council at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design; a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees at the University of Miami; and a member of Cornell University’s Center for Real Estate and Finance.
