A mix of retail, dining and office space will round out the 22 distinctive buildings that will span 117 acres. Six buildings have already topped off, and detailed facade work is well underway. “This is one of the largest retail developments of its kind under construction in the country and the first of its kind in Las Vegas,” said Philip S. Goldfarb, President and Chief Operating Officer. “Town Square is going to be a major landmark on the south Strip and a destination that showcases Turnberry’s tradition of staying ahead of the curve in retail and real estate development. The company will once again provide the excellence and distinction it has showcased in Las Vegas communities such as Turnberry Place and The Residences at MGM Grand.” Town Square will revolve around a village-style setting, creating a one-of-a-kind shopping and dining experience in the open-air, main street-themed environment. With more than 150 retail shops and over 12 restaurants, Town Square will be a dynamic indoor and outdoor shopper’s paradise for residents across the valley and include all the components destined to make it the greatest gathering place in Las Vegas. The center will also feature 352,000 square feet of Class A office space.
Children will take center stage at Town Square with their own place to play as construction for an elaborate, oversized children’s park is slated to begin in May. Also on tap to start construction this summer is a “Town Square” venue that will boast special events and activities such as concerts, fashion shows and more. Town Square, which will be anchored by RAVE Motion Pictures, Robb & Stucky, Borders and 24-Hour Fitness, is eighty percent fully leased. The Fry’s Electronics store, which is adjacent to the site, was acquired by Turnberry and Centra, and will be incorporated as a Town Square anchor.
Additional shops include Abercrombie & Fitch, Aldo, American Eagle, Apple, Banana Republic, Bath & Body Works, BCBG, Body Shop, Cache, Chico’s, Cold Stone Creamery, Crabtree & Evelyn, Design Within Reach, Eddie Bauer, Express, Finish Line, Fossil, Godiva, Guess, Hollister Co., J. Crew, Limited Too, Lucky Brand, MAC, Metro Park, Michael Stars, Oakley, Old Navy, Pac Sun, Puma, Replay, Sigrid Olsen, Skechers, Solstice, Soma, Steve Madden, Sunglass Hut, The Walking Company, Victoria’s Secret, White House/Black Market and many others.
Restaurants will include Tommy Bahama’s Tropical Café and Emporium, Yard House, The Grape and Texas de Brazil, which will make their Las Vegas debut at Town Square. Well-known restaurants including Fleming’s Steak House, Bar Louie, Brio and Claim Jumper, as well as Starbucks also will open venues within Town Square.
Town Square is located on Las Vegas Blvd., south of Mandalay Bay and at the junction of I-15 and the 215 Beltway. It will be built with dramatic landscaping and elevations by renowned Lifescapes International Inc. Las Vegas-based Marnell Corrao Associates and Baltimore-based Development Design Group Inc. are the architects of record for Town Square.
